They'reFirst, if you aren't already, I'd suggest looking into Let's Encrypt SSL Certificates. They're free, and will be renewed automatically.
They're available in Server Configuration -> SSL Certificates -> Let's Encrypt.
That said, if you're looking to use a commercial SSL cert, you'd need to be sure that the "openssl" command is installed.
What output do you receive when running this command on your server:
which openssl
dpkg -l openssl More ...
which openssl
dpkg -l openssl

ii openssl 1.1.0h-2.0+u amd64 Secure Sockets Layer toolkit - cr
root@example:~#
I will like to know how to research and implement let's encrypt provided it is reliable but as of now I have already paid for comodo renewal and used the CSR generated using the terminal but i guessed this will not work on virtualmin as I have no private key yet.
Please assist on how I can virtualmin to generate csr and private key.
I also think the openssl may have been installed in location not recognized by virtualmin --
I think virtualmin look up from this directory /usr/bin/openssl
but when i check the raw file for openssl - it is located usr/include
i tried to install latest version openssl-1.1.1g that i found it /usr/local/src
Please what can I do to get things right?
Many thanks for your assistance More ...
