You are reading this because you are planning to go off-grid system or you are already on a off-grid system. I am planning to do a video of a complete off-grid system utilization breakdown -

THIS FOLLOWING COMMENT IS A REPLY TO A YOUTUBE POST - I JUST FELT IT MIGHT BE NECESSARY FOR THOSE WHO FOLLOW MY CONTENTS ON MARTFAME

I have just not got the time yet now. One thing you may need to look into are these:
(Firstly) your inverter needs energy to run itself so you are not actually using the entire 117.2 kWh for your home...to confirm this, turnoff all the loads in the house and use the clamp meter around the +ve terminal of your battery that goes into the inverter to know how many amps your inverter is consuming on standby mode and multiply that by your 48vdc that will tell you how much power (Watt) your inverter is consuming.
(Secondly) It takes a lot of power to convert 48v/24v/12v whatever off-grid system you are using to 220/230/240v hence some of the power generated will be lost during this process.
I have 24v system and my inverter uses 2.1amps without load ...that's 50.4Wh ----multiply this by the number of hours my inverter is on or my battery reaches low battery cutoff voltage which is around 10hrs in winter that will be 500Wh the inverter itself consumes daily.
(Thirdly) Your batteries may only hold complete charge under STC (standard testing condition) 25 degrees. You have around 20% chance of meeting this requirement all through the year -- in your best case scenario -- you are actually utilizing around 70% of the total solar energy for your home consumption.
If you would like to confirm this, get a din rail energy meter and install it in between your inverter and your load -- that will tell you your actual load consumption and then compare it with how much your solar panel generated and stored in your battery bank.

Now, please don't worry much about National Grid energy price - it will fluctuate but it will definitely come down - the current energy rate has so much politics to it (plandemic and planinvasion) so nothing much to it.
America has 4000 trillion cubic feet of natural gas but the current president shutdown its production
Europe has 1000 trillion cubic feet of natural gas but refused to produce it -- relying on Russia

Energy-wise Europe and America will be fine...this phase is expected due to the politics around it...it may last a bit, maybe for another year if a real war emerge (west vs asia)
But after that...everything should ease up.

If you are reading my comment and you live in the UK, PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME & MONEY except if you are living in a completely remote area without access to national-grid as in case of this couple then go for it...but you can still spend less and achieve more.

If I may add - before you can rely solely on off-grid system, you would need minimum of 16kw solar panels and 70KWh of LITHIUM battery bank....THIS COST FORTUNE!

I will try to share my complete breakdown video once i get the chance to make it perhaps before the end of March 2022 -- some of the things i mentioned here would be repeated.
